My second sartorial spread with NYC-based artist and photographer, Peter Glebo is inspired by Chanel No. 5 Perfume and Coco’s contributions to the couturier lexicon. Clashing my embellished YSL dress with Chanel necklaces, added a contemporary edge to Coco’s highly revered signature style and exquisitely contrasts the bottle of No. 5, itself. Chanel is admired for more than crafting the little black dress and pairing such timeless garments with opulent adornments in excess. Coco’s success was elevated to a whole new level in the 1920′s by the inception of Chanel No. 5 Perfume; the first fragrance to feature a designer’s name. The successes of No. 5 soared the brand’s demand, strengthened its reputation and Coco Chanel herself. Many women coin the perfume, the world’s most luxurious fragrance. While striking poses with the bottle of gold was a blast and undoubtedly a cherished cultural classic, I sported nerdy shades for my final look –to show-off my passion for fashion and inner quirkiness!
